It starts with a story

I always enjoy a good story. I especially enjoy when writers have a way with words. Telling a story is a challenge. How can I paint a picture only using little squiggles and the mind? How do I compile a program with fifty thousand variables that comes out the same way on 7 billion different compilers?

These are the sorts of thoughts that course through my mind every time I pick up a book. They also happen every time I am confronted with an empty paper or blank document. My mind goes to work trying to assemble a story. Sometimes fiction. Sometime recounting history. I have a fantasy multi-verse playing in multiplex in my head. Goblins and ogres battle Paladins while star battle cruisers dance in the silence of space exchanging brilliant bursts of plasma and photons in a silent void.

What I am meagerly attempting to expound is I have a story to tell. How ever outlandish it may be I want to tell it.
